Welcome to MADZ Attendance
This is a senior capstone project created by Mark, Anthony, David, and Zaynin.

Our Pledge:
MADZ Attendance aims to provide a fast and efficient solution to lengthy attendance-taking procedures in Kutztown University classrooms. MADZ Attendance will allow for a system in which students can swipe/tap their student IDs to instantly mark themselves as present in a classroom, while professors can view their class’s real-time attendance and previous class’s attendance records.
FAQ
Students, faculty, and administrators will have access to this site. However, only faculty and administrators will have login permissions.
Students have multiple ways of marking their attendance: 1. Students may tell their professor at the start of class, and the professor will manually mark their attendance. 2. Students may submit an Attendance Submission Request. This is a request for students who forgot to swipe, or don't have their ID, will be able to submit. The professor will have the chance to accept or decline this request. Note: The student will only be able to request attendance verification on the day of submission. This encourages attendance and accountability, as well as provides a solution to students via a mobile device or PC.

Users (Professor, Chair, and Admin) will be created by Admin, using email and password. The user will need to authenticate their email before being able to sign in. The user will get an email upon successful account creation to confirm their signup. Once authenticated, the user will have access to their page based on their login permission assigned on account creation.
Who Are We?
We are all seniors at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. We all bring unique experiences and input to this project.
MADZ is an acronym of all of our first names. Mark, Anthony, David, and Zaynin.
Mark - an Information Technology Major
Mark is helping implement the database and UI.
Mark likes to watch football and play games with friends.
Anthony - A Computer Science Major
Anthony is helping implement the website, with his main focus being the front end.
A fun fact about Anthony is that he has a twin brother.
David - A Computer Science Major
David is working on hardware-database interactions for the backend of the website.
David rides motorcycles and enjoys annual cross country roadtrips.
Zaynin - A Computer Science Major
Zaynin is working on configuring hardware and UI design for the classroom display.
Zaynin can type 150 words per minute.
